Meet Ellie.

I grew up around flowers—my family owned a nursery, my mom was a master gardener, and my dad could bring plants back from the brink of death. In my twenties and thirties I worked in bars and restaurants, often creating the florals for the spaces where I worked. When I began selling arrangements, my first customers were hospitality owners who’d seen my work in action.

I named Big Heart Blooms for my dad, who received a heart transplant 25 years ago; he’s the kindest person I know, and I try to bring that same care to every design. Every arrangement is foam-free and selected by stem to suit your space. I favor local, on-season stems whenever possible and welcome recycled vessels so more of your budget goes to blooms—not new glass. I rarely take day-of orders; thoughtful timing ensures freshness, fit, and a design that breathes. Above all, I want the process to feel comfortable and human—ask questions, share inspiration, and we’ll create something thoughtfully yours.
